Chido was admitted into partnership in 2020, and is part of the Firm's Commercial and Financial Services Group, an anchor unit at Dube, Manikai & Hwacha which has advised on national projects, ground breaking commercial mandates in the Zimbabwean economy and advisory work for local and multi-lateral institutions. Prior to joining the firm, Chido gained extensive experience in general corporate and commercial law at two respected law firms in Johannesburg, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence investigations, competition law and commercial litigation. In 2017, Chido was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, the UK Government's international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders, pursuant to which she obtained an LLM in Energy and Natural Resources from Queen Mary University of London. Chido specializes in energy and infrastructure project development, including the negotiation and drafting of the commercial and operational agreements for such projects. Her extensive multi-jurisdictional experience in general corporate and commercial law includes mergers and acquisitions, mining, competition law, intellectual property law and banking and finance.
